I Felt a Funeral in My Brain Term Papers

Emily Dickinson’s “I felt a funeral, in my Brain” is a psychological poem, which it doesn’t tell anything about the situation which has caused the funeral gathering. A complete funeral as felt through the diminishing sensation of a dead person is presented in detail, which is why the poem borders on macabre by depicting the event of the awful battle that the separation of the body from the soul experiences. The funeral service has allegorical significance and is not just an exploitation to achieve a sensational effect.
